After practicing for more
than 35 years, I find it rewarding to work with people individually and
together in their intimate relationships. Primarily using Cognitive
Behavioral and Support Therapy, I help people discover their sense of
meaning and purpose in life, and deal with issues of grief and loss, anxiety
and stress management, aging, work and career, personal growth.
I try to bring warmth and personal attention to each client. As a father and
grandfather, teacher and mentor, and human living a life of rich and varied
experiences, I’ve experienced much in my own life to allow me to be “fully
present” with people in the context of their life experiences.
Additionally, I've focused in
recent years on men's issues: career, relationships, depression and
isolation. I work with persons in transition through major crises and life
changes, healing and expanding views of ourselves and others through groups,
retreats; and team-building seminars at sea on the schooner, Curlew.
