I specialize in dealing with
stress management and relationship issues, enhancing parenting and marital
skills, and decreasing anxiety and depression through the use of Cognitive
Behavioral and Support Therapy. Often, changes we live through, such as
adolescence, career, divorce, aging, grief, and loss, cause us undue stress.
I help facilitate the transition into the next stage, healing through
changing limited views of ourselves and others, and reconstructing our lives
and relationships in more practical and productive ways.
I’ve been married and in my practice for many years, and have warm
relationships with my children and extended family. Teaching at the college
level and working with adolescents in special education has been deeply
rewarding, as has my work with recovering alcoholics, using the twelve-step
process.
